4. Are patients able to look into my profile?

Merel was born to establish an exclusive atmosphere for communication between physicians and scientists. Only members of Merel Club can search for and find you. Merel cannot be liable for all user generated data, but one of the highest targets is to avoid any kind of abuse. Each potential member has to declare the correctness of his registration details when signing in. Random verifications to evaluate the correctness of data are implemented periodically. Your help to support the safety of Merel Club is appreciated, e.g. if you notice suspicious statements, provoking or even insulting. What can I do, if noticing unscientific statements or faked data?
If you notice suspicious statements, provoking or even insulting, please send a message to customersupport@merel-club.com. The statement and person respectively will be screened immediately. In case of clear abuse or breach of the rules, membership of this person ends and all data and articles will be deleted.


6. User’s profile

Which disadvantages am I facing with when hiding my details?
This depends on the goal you want to reach with using the platform. In general, the better the quality of your details, the higher is the probability to be found by a colleague, if you want to expand your personal network.

Which terms shall I use in my profile?
Use short, popular but concise terms and avoid long descriptions (better use “heart attack” than “infarction caused by coronary heart disease”). Use commas when listing terms.
